hay guys well i finally made it out for the first time this summer and sure was a good time with a good group of guys. had a late start guys getting bait at 15th st. didnt make it offshore till about 8am were i followed andy to about 250 and we scored a little pre-work out on some bonnies and a small aj that andy got. being in the middle of the group andy wanted to go to 340 to look for any bit of current and i followed suit we almost left when i finally get the unmistakable hit of a small football which happended to be my First Tuna Since November!!!! than andy gets one a little bigger and i few minutes later get slammed an go on a speedy sleigh ride after a couple min im thrilled to see black and gold rising from the deep and it aint small neither. i miss twice with the gaff and then once more till i finally get it in the side and in the yak boy was i happpy but surprisingly calm my first big jumbo. i make my way over to andy to get a pic and to throw em in his cooler and soon after andy hooks another a decent football. i make my way to rob bearing the good news as he tells me they just landed a hoo and big king wow what a day so far. we head back to 340 and minutes later im hooked up again with a decent football and im at three for the day we continue drifting along with not much more to show for for a about an hour and then decide to head in we cool off at the buoys and then to the beach. were a crowd was soon to be gathering. tuna were on a 150g long thin jig by capt harry hoo and king hit a gog. went out on the boat sunday lost 4 big kings to tackle failure.
