    Dania, grouper/kings/shark

Headed out of dania yesterday with drichard. We set up for a dania to pompano drift but there was zero current so we decided to stay and fish dania. We made our way to one of drichards secret grouper spots(which I of course marked on my FF) and started dropping the jigs. after a couple drops I pull up an decent 10lb gag. Shortly after, drichard hooks a small almaco that gets engulfed and then let go by a large grouper that rips all the scales off the little almaco. Later the same thing happens to me but this time the larger fish was hooked good. I tried my hardest to stop this thing from running down into the rocks but it was impossible, I almost got pulled over board. doug was screaming that I had a monster grouper on and I was praying that my line didn't snap. My drag was cranked all the way down and after a short battle, doug tells me it is a shark. what a disappointment. It was a great fight but not the fish I wanted. We got some good video and After letting the shark go, we decided to troll for some kings/wahoo. The action was in shallow that day with most of the kings caught in approx. 130-160ft. In total, we caught 5kgs. my biggest was a 40lb. enjoy the pics and video

Nice fish Kraatz, But for the record, It is NOT Doug Richards grouper spot!!! He marked the spot after I landed a beast Gag there... If its anyone's spot its probably Robs because I first saw he landed a beast there. And if Richard calls it his spot again, I'm posting the exact numbers here so every noob & their noob friends can raid it.

The horizon won't help you that much. The rock piles are small and you need to know the depths. GL.
