Triple threat snook fishing in the rain

Over the 4th of July holiday 3 friends got together to enjoy a day of fishing. Almost everyday has been a down pour but the early part of thursday was blue skies.

We headed out from one of our favorite spots. The over abundance of rain run off has turned much of our saltwater spot into fresh water so we needed to head further out to find fish. As you can see from the pictures all 3 of us found snook..also not pictured were double digits of trout. The snook were hungry all day feasting on DOA Shrimp, zara spook jrs, and skitter walk's.
The rain was held back for most of the day but we did finally get hammered by multiple storms. Though the storms did not break our spirit to continue to fish. We found a few snook on our way back. It was an amazing day in our back country.

Where was this? not looking for a spot, just the general area. Looks like a great paddle and judging by the cooler and solid booze cruise

Looks like a great day had by all

    Nice pics as always!
I really must remember to play with the color, contrast & brightness settings on my pics before posting to the web; yours always look nice and vivid.

Hey Zimmer..We paddled the south end of Charlotte Harbor. It's a awesome place to paddle..but easy to get lost.

Jcanracer, I spend a good bit of time editing the pictures before posting..Its something I really enjoy.

Those Heddon's are so easy to walk, but I still prefer the Top Dogs by MirrOlure, more sound!

Nice job, Josh! Glad you guys got into the fish. Haven't heard any reports from that area, glad to see the fish are there.
