    Dania 6/28 Drift 6/29

First time getting out since the big wahoo and fishing has slowwwed way down in the last few weeks. Went out after work Friday for an hour or so and managed a nice king and lost a big mutton right under the yak

Sat did a drift from port Everglades inlet to pompano with a couple other guys Doug P, Rob and Andy. First time out of the inlet and it was fun to say the least. With the outgoing tide there was 4-6' rollers all the way out to 100' of water. Awesome scenery to start the morning though. Fishing was slow with a bunch of huge Bonita caught as well as a handful of football bfts. I managed to pull up a small snowy grouper deep droppin in the 300s which was a first for me. Also hooked up to a nice mahi maybe 15 lbs that shook the hook first jump. Also had a fun visit and a couple circles from mr hammerhead. Slow day but nice to get out on the water again

Nice king and sashimi. If you aren't that familiar with the Pt. Everglades inlet, on the south side, about even with the jetty (on the ICW side) there is a long double row of a corroded metal seawall support that is only visible at low tide. Don't be tempted to move closer to the concrete seawall inside the jetty or you may get bounced onto this by the waves.

I had 2 hammerheads swim right past me nice and close but they paid me no mind, I even had a BFT on the jigg while the past. About 30 min after they past I jumped something Andy and I could of swore it was a tarpon but we were way to deep 300 ft. I guess it was a spinner shark? My hook was cut in half. And the rollers were not that bad, cake!!!

I passed by all you fools on the way out in a 31' Jupiter. I texted Dougie about the downdraft/outgoing tide nonsense. It layed down nearly flat at 100-100ft
