Pompano Beach 5/11/13 offshore kayak wreck fishing Big Amberjacks...

Hit up Pompano scouting for the tourney, meet up with Bobby and his old man and decided to head out together, it was a nice launch but I knew it was gonna get ugly fast. Meet up with Larrythelobsterman( I think JetskiLarry a better name) out in deeper water.... As we made our way to my fav wreck I noted a nice little rock pile and marked it , we made it to the wreck and first drop fish on Bobby hooks up aswell, good fight and then my leader popped right at the knot , switched rods 2nd drop fish on and its tearing line off my reel had to palm it a few times, I hear Bobby and see a beast on his lap a few min later I had its twin on my lap, after that we headed in the sea's and wind really picked up. A quick little vid of Bobby and I playing donkey kong...

You actually went out? Joe warned me of the tourney going on there today so I stayed away. We went out there on Wednesday and all we had were big AJ's as well. My leader knot popped twice too, once palming the spool. You guys hook into anything else aside from the bonito?

No we hauled a$$, didn't even troll on the way in. No live bait no ice, I just wanted to wrestle some donkeys.

No name not on the charts I'm thinking its an old deteriorated wreck, an artificial reef or just a nice size rock pile. To be honest I couldn't tell ya.. But this time of yr all the wrecks are producing.
