Redfish put a hurt on my ole bod today and last night. I made the mistake of planning TWO trips for reds within 24 hours. Lucky for me (or not) the fish were hitting it hard both trips. We ended up with 15 or so nice fish. Biggest was just about 50” and they were caught drifting the Inlet with live bait while the somewhat smaller fish were caught pluggin in the north Indian River Lagoon. The inlet Reds were caught with my friend Capt Glyn Austin and the river ones with my buddy Wayne.
I am off to go soak my back again.
Thanks for looking.
I am calling this one MobyDick, becasue that is what he felt like.
This was the biggest I believe. It looks like we are 2-3 miles offshore, but really just north of the north jetty.. This one took us west to east when I could not get her out of the ripping current. Probably a result of the my poor rod work here.
My friend Wayne pulling on a nice one.
Believe Wayne's biggest was 34" or so.
OK, so,..... 14 big ones and one little one.
