1/22/2013 out of wiggins
Four of us set out around 8am to get and try to get soem red grouper, fooled around the pass for a little bit trying to catch some bait but no luck. Headed out about 15 miles and tried drifting different spots. Caught a bunch of lane snapper adn grunts. Also a good amount of short reds. Just went from spot to spot and kept dropping down. Eventually caught two nice reds. My son was able to catch his first fish all on his own. I helped with hooking the bait and he took over from there. It was a 9" lane snapper but he did it all on his own. We were very happy!! Great day on the water..

Thats awesome man... what day was that with those calm seas?

Great pics, looks like your boy is having a blast. I went out Saturday and it looked nothing like that out there!

Great to see a little man having that kind of fun. Reminds me of taking my grandson to some local fresh water fishing spots!

Most of the bigger reds have gone deep. 70 feet +

Man how far out did you go in that small of a boat?

This day we only went out about 15 miles but I have taken her 35-40 miles out on perfect conditions. 24ft is not that small of a boat.
