The "Gold" mining continues!

With the abundant sunshine today I decided to take advantage of it! Found numerous fish, but they were stubborn today. They were mudding and tailing pretty consistent, but for the life of me I couldn't get them to eat! :banghead

Changed up the fly, but still no connections. Went back to the Olive Backstabber and finally connected on a couple of fish.

Today there were hundreds and hundreds of Sandhill Cranes on the lake. The other day I had a friend watch over me while I scouted some new water on the lake. He let me troll right over and get numerous pics! Very cool indeed!

Backstabber in the Rust color during the summer and lately I've been throwing the Olive color. On a bigger hook it would make a good Redfish fly! :)

Feather-Craft has a good selection of Carp flies in their Warm water section or if you tie I'm sure you would whip up some goodies they would eat!
