Canada Summer 2012

Catching up with some recent trips. Last month LOB and I returned to Northern Saskatchewan Canada for a 10 day extreme fishing excursion. I focused on Fly Fishing and therefore found myself fishing solo quit a bit. With sunsets at 10:30 pm and sunrise at 3:30 am gave us plenty of time to fish. We targeted walleyes , Lake Trout and Northern Pikes. Below are some random pictures.

We had to deal with black bears coming through camp and eating anything with smell or bright colors.

Looks like quite the adventure Mark and some nice fish too.......................
I noticed a few guys that used to dive, spear fish and get lobster, are they still stuck up there? I havent herd of them diving in quite a while:huh

Looks like a great trip....hope you guys fish pinched down barbs...If you handle enough fish with lures stuck in their jaw....you will be in that situation....I like being able to back the hook out quickly and easily...I cry alot less that way. :wink

how were the black flies & mosquitos? The times we were up there they were baaaaaddddddd!!!!

Crap where they bad, not so much at the camp but on the mainland you could not get out of your van without 20 black flies attacking you. But at camp they were less frequent, not sure why. Maybe because it was further north and a little cooler.

Looks like some nice relaxed fishing. I guess chasing smaller game is a little easier on the older guys. Look forward to that in 20 or 30 years. :)
