STOCKTON (CBS13) — Two robbery suspects were foiled when a Burger King employee slipped out the back door and made off with their getaway car.
Stockton Police say it’s like nothing they’ve seen before. They say two men ran into a fast food restaurant, pulled out their guns and demanded cash.

While the two men were inside robbing the cashier, another Burger King employee sneaked out the back. He noticed the suspects’ getaway car running, so he hopped in.

“I haven’t heard of any employee actually leaving a business, getting inside the suspect vehicle and trying to hide it,” said Stockton officer Joe Silva.
The employee would drive the car around the corner and hide it. Officers said Gabriel Gonzalez and Jeremy Lovitt would run out and quickly panic. Once they realized they had no transportation, they fled to a nearby field.

“The quick action from this employee did allow our officers to get on scene and arrest the suspects,” Silva said.

The 42.5-acre Aisne-Marne Cemetery and Memorial in France, its headstones lying in a sweeping curve, sits at the foot of the hill where stands Belleau Wood. The cemetery contains the graves of 2,289 war dead, most of whom fought in the vicinity and in the Marne valley in the summer of 1918. The memorial chapel sits on a hillside, decorated with sculptured and stained-glass details of wartime personnel, equipment and insignia. Inscribed on its interior wall are 1,060 names of the missing. Rosettes mark the names of those since recovered and identified. During World War II, the chapel was damaged slightly by an enemy shell.

Belleau Wood adjoins the cemetery and contains many vestiges of World War I. A monument at the flagpole commemorates the valor of the U.S. Marines who captured much of this ground in 1918.



The 90-acre cemetery contains the graves of 5,329 of our military dead, many of whom died in the 1944 Ardennes winter offensive (Battle of the Bulge).



The Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial in France covers 28 acres of rolling farm country near the eastern edge of Brittany and contains the remains of 4,410 of our war dead, most of whom lost their lives in the Normandy and Brittany campaigns of 1944.

The Russian-made Lyubov Orlova left Canada bound for a scrapyard in the Dominican Republic on Jan. 23, according to the Agence France-Presse. After only one day, however, a cable snapped, leaving the ship adrift. The so-called "ghost ship" was located briefly in February as it floated aimlessly about 500 miles off the coast of Ireland. Then, in March, the Canadian Coast Guard reported that one of the ship's emergency radio beacons, which activate after hitting the water or another object, flashed a location almost 800 miles off Newfoundland, according to the Vancouver Sun.

With no further sightings, some speculate that the ship has sunk.

Canada, for its part, doesn't seem too broken up over the loss, as the boat had been abandoned in Canadian waters in 2010 after a reported financial dispute between the owner and a charter company, per Fox News. Once the ship drifted into international waters, the Canadian government largely washed its hands of the issue. As The Globe and Mail reported back in February, Canada's transportation department said in a statement it was "very unlikely that the vessel will re-enter waters under Canadian jurisdiction.”

The boat's whereabouts have received a good deal of attention in the international press, and the mystery surrounding the vessel has even spawned a website, "Where is Lyubov Orlova?"

On a sobering note, however, if the boat has wrecked somewhere, it could be leaking toxic fluids into the water, according to French environmental organization Robin du Bois.

"In case of a collision or sinking or any accident, the Lyubov Orlova will immediately release fuel … other toxic liquids, asbestos ... mercury and other non-degradable floating waste," the group declared in a statement, according to LiveScience.

I see they have a new 3 pepper sauce, the guy lines up his cup and mashes the handle, kablewy....nozzle blows off the end and the guy is literally covered from his face to his shoes! He calmly approaches the counter and I give him a handful of napkins to wipe his face, he tells me his eyes are burning. He asks for the manager and the girl at the register looks directly at him and says " Excuse you, you don't see I have a customer in front of me"....uhoh boys! The guy says,again calmly, "I need the manager, I am covered in pepper sauce, my face is burning and my suit is ruined. Your dispenser nozzle shot off the end and I am soaked in pepper sauce...get me some help!" I tell the girl to assist him, I can wait. Girl slowly struts around the corner and gets the manager, manager comes back to the counter and asks what the problem is, the guy calmly explains his situation to her, she asks what he would like her to do! Guy says, calmly..."Your sauce dispenser nozzle came off, pepper sauce is all over my face and my clothes, my face is burning, my suit is ruined and I need some help to get this off of me, you also need to close that pump off so nobody else gets soaked". At this point I am looking for the "Pranked" crew to come walking out. The man steps out of the bathroom, his face and eyes are fire hydrant red. He slowly approaches the lady with the young girl covered in sauce and says something in a very low voice, the lady shakes her head and takes her daughter back to her seat. The man pulls out a pad of paper and asks me my name and phonbe number, same for the lady and the little girl. He then comes back to the manager, asks her what she intends to do..the response, "Sir, it is not my fault that the nozzle came off and you got sauce on you, be more careful and maybe this won't happen in the future, what is it that you would like me to do"? Guy just smirks and shakes his head, tosses a business card on the desk and asks her to please call him when the crowd slows down.
