Overnighter- Southwest run

We loaded up for a 75 mile trip, 5 guys, left at 9:30 saturday morning, Having a 1 tide day made for no rush to get up early. Around 1 pm we hit a wreck and wore out the AJ's cause one of my crew never caught them, now he understands, but not much else there. Soon we made it out to a bottom spot at about 74 miles, everything was hitting, muttons, mangs, aj's, a baby african pomp, and grouper. Even though the season was only closed for 7 more hours, we all agreed to release about 10 keeper reds. Even that far out if your doing what you are not supposed to be doing, you are messin' with karma. As night fell we dialed in on the yellowtail hole, and the wind and tide did not cooperate, but still pulled out a limit of 50 snapper total. I knew what was going to happen- the next morning the tide was beat again and bagged only 1 keeper red grouper. That's the way it goes, but it still beats workin, We can't complain.
