Report 6/10

After weeks of the weather and my work schedule being out of sync, it finally came together this weekend.  There are a lot of tarpon still around, so my plan was to chase tarpon at dawn and then hit the beach for snook.  We got up early and I introduced my son to his first tarpon at sunrise.  From there we hit the beach and saw a lot of snook, but none were interested in what I was offering.

Tarpon are an amazing fish, but I will admit my preference is to catch something I can eat.  My little man really wanted to catch one so that was our target this weekend.  Every time that fish jumped, my son was screaming with excitement.  It was an awesome day, even though I had to eat tacos for dinner instead of fresh fish   ;)
