have to do this every so often, just to keep my heart from getting too healthy. from scratch buttermilk biscuits with homemade pork and deer sausage with gravy and a touch of steens for the sweet tooth. glass of ice cold milk to wash it down. i'll have to diet for a week to compensate.

    i brown the meat then dust it with flour and stir till it's brownish again, then salt and pepper it, then start adding milk and stirring untill it's like i like it. i finally figured out that if i grate cold butter into the flour instead of kneading it in, the biscuits are more flaky.
