Looks like the Trump administration is calling out the perpetrators of the scam called "federal fisheries management" that has been corrupted to the core by commercial/environmentalist interests, and the new head of NMFS is fighting the good fight!

“New Jersey makes a compelling argument that the measures it implemented this year, despite increasing catch above the harvest target, will likely reduce total summer flounder mortality in New Jersey waters to a level consistent with the overall conservation objective,” Chris Oliver, assistant administrator of fisheries at NOAA, wrote the commission in a letter on behalf of Ross."

    Look for Am 30B to be rescinded and promptly afterward AM 40 allowed to sunset. Enough of this charade that EDF/CFA/NMFS have perpetrated upon all of us - it's time to get back to REAL fisheries management.
