the PA12 and PA14 are hefty beasts. even stripped of gear, i'd have a hard time telling any friend of mine 'oh, yeah, you can put it on top of your car, no problem'.

    but, this might help….

I mean....i've done a PA 14 on top of my Highlander with only foam pads, cross-bars and 2 straps...

Do I recommend it? Not really. It was fine for a quick 40min ride under 60mph, but I don't want that kind of wear and tear long term. Plus it is pretty much IMPOSSIBLE unassisted to throw a PA 14 on top of an SUV without the help of something like a T-Bar or something similar.

    uno-mas knows what's up^

I have a PA14 and a ford fusion with this exact same roof rack setup. It really is as easy as it looks in the video just takes a couple minutes to tie down the kayak. I've never had an issue transporting the kayak, have taken it from jensen to pompano and I've traveled from the Atlantic to the gulf going 70mph without any issues. Most people look at me like I'm crazy but when they see me load it they're usually impressed with how easy it is. If you have any questions about this particular setup send me message and ill help you out if I can
