Did I Ever Tell You Guys That I Hate Flying?

My last 36 hours...

All EST.

Thursday 2am picked up by car at hotel in Barcelona.
Thursday 4am flight was delayed by 1.5 hours.
Landed at Frankfurt and missed the connection to Newark. Means I also missed the connection to JAX.
Offered a hotel in Frankfurt and same flights next day (today), or later Thursday flight to JFK, and stay in hotel at JFK.
Decided to get as far as I could yesterday so flew to JFK. Stayed in $300 room that equalled a $75 motel room in very seedy area.
Got 8:27 Jet Blue this morning and got home at 11:45am.

So traveling 34 hours to get home from Spain.

****!

You could keep that from happening by not going to Spain.

Correct, but I like having a pay check!

Off to Bangkok the week after New Year - I bet I get back quicker from there than flippin' Spain.

I have and made the mistake of walking from the hotel to the red light district instead of getting a taxi. I was chewing on grit and blowing dirt out of my nose by the time I got there with the pollution. Got a taxi back.

I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have, in fact, caught and killed a large predator that supposedly injured some bathers. But, as you see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are open and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means "friendship".

They had a national strike against the austerity measures.

Was it the rain in Spain that caused delay of the plane?

It was a Lufthansa plane, they don't let a silly thing like rain affect their efficiency.

I'm thinking the pilots had to run off and bomb something first.

Lufthansa used to have a bunch of smoking hot women working in downtown Miami.
