Electoral Votes

It's about time we changed the method of electing a president. What ever happened to "one man one vote"? If presidents were elected on the basis of popular vote we would not have this mess now. John McCain would have just been re-elected.

    I was having this discussion with my girlfriend last night.Every election except the Presidential it is one man or woman one vote.

    I've always liked the electoral college. It helps keep democracy out of at least one process. I'd also like to see US Senators back representing State Governments and not the population.

    Don't forget that in 2000, liberals were mad as hell about the electoral college and the media ran stories about it as if it were some new process they hadn't heard of.

    I don't think McCain won popular vote - although Gore did. Romney didn't win popular vote either.
