Creek Wars Triple Challenge Tournament

Gusty winds and swift tides greeted this years Creek Wars Triple Challenge Tournament (visit for results and photos). The conditions made for a challenging and exciting proving ground for our tournament anglers.

The Creek Wars 4th Annual Triple Challenge Tournament held Saturday, October 13th, 2012 at the Jim King Park and Boat Ramp at Sisters Creek, grew to a 76 boat turnout with 38 anglers weighing catch for their chance to win one of twelve opportunities for cash prizes.

1st Place Winners:
Triple Challenge: (19.02 lbs aggregate) Luis DeSooza
Redfish: (7.38 lbs) Jim Price
Sea Trout (6.77 lbs) Ron Schurr
Flounder: (5.99 lbs) Otis Chauncey

The Northeast Chapter of The Florida Irrigation Society is pleased to present this annual fund-raising tournament. We host the tournament for two reasons. The first is our commitment to raise money for charity. We support Wolfson Children’s Hospital (saving children’s lives!) and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation (promoting education and scientific research to protect and enhance our marine environments, this equates to better fishing for our anglers!) It is angler entry money, raffle money, t-shirt sales and corporate donations that enable us to give to these wonderful organizations.

The second reason is to offer a safe, fair and sporting inshore triple challenge tournament promoting environmental stewardship and community outreach by supporting charities that positively affect the health, safety and welfare of our great city.

We give great thanks to our supporters, especially our top tier sponsors: Miller Lite-Champion Brands, Rowe’s Supermarkets, FNGLA, Firehouse Subs, North Florida Irrigation Equipment, NDS, American Electrical Contracting and Strike-Zone Fishing.

Thank you for fishing Creek Wars and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
