I've been to the skyway twice in the last three weeks and have caught a ton of short snapper. My buddys went to pier 60 last week and said the snook.bite was slow. I think at least with the skyway, things should get a bit better if the weather cools. As for 60, I am hearing of many people catching snook on the flats to fatten up. I haven't made it out there myself, but keep us posted if you go.

There is a link to the skyway pier forum somwhere. I was over there last weekend looking for somwhere to fish. Landed on Bayfront blvd. Saw no parking. The skyway pier seems kind of pricy to fish? Where is a good land based fishing hole after some casino gambling. To far to tow the boat.

My brother and uncle fish the Sky Way about once a month, i'll ask them how it's been going.

Lots of bait out there, and the Span-Maks should be showing up any day now. Good easy eats right there.

My father in law said the same thing when I talked to him this morning.
