that is a nice fish man. what time of day did you catch it at? I've been fishing banana river and my gator trout bite is over buy 9 am. Then it's just slots and reds.
I caught the fish in the afternoon, about 3:30 pm. It fought like a red, not like the typical trout catch.
ok cool man. Usually I wake up at 3:30 am to get on the water by 5:30 and be on my favorite flat as the sun is coming up. Your picture inspires me to fish longer and not get out of there by noon.
NCE TROUT. Glad you released the her to reproduce.
Thanks for all the nice comments. Catch and release is great for for future anglers! Harvest within limits, and less, if the catch will not be fully appreciated when consumed! Fishing is fun but catching definitely produces more smiles :):)
What a pig, good job and congrats! It's funny, you would think most gators are caught early or late, but my biggest was caught at noon on a 98 degree windless afternoon.

There are many roads to travel
Many things to do.
Knots to be unraveled

That's funny Joe I caught my personal best an hour before you caught yours on that same day. We need to get out there and get us one of those!

It was a doa bait buster... The shallow runner version. I used the black/silver color scheme to match all the mullet in the area.
Send the picture to DOA.
