DID IT AGAIN!
Forgot the cell phone when I ran down the Little Homosassa this afternoon. Didn't really think the fishing would be great after the cold front came in and the water temp low 60' to high 50's so was really surprised to hook a nice trout (released) in the river on one of the early casts. 1/8 th ounce jig, white paddle tail. Tossed it a few more times and this time it was a FISH! Good fight and finally landed and released a 30" plus snook. Figured that "made my day" but ran on out to some shallow rocks and started catching one trout after another on the same rig as well as my favorite lure, the old Bagley Jumpin' Mullet. Brought four home for dinner. Largest just under 20". So much for my belief that fishing's bad just after a cold front! Good couple of hours on the water.
SO WHEN IS THIS "OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER" SUPPOSED TO KICK IN?
