Hillsboro Inlet 2/27/18 - blackfin

The forecast was for 5-10 knt winds and seas less than 2 feet so I decided to take the boys (4 and 6) out after school.  The plan was to go deep dropping but as soon as I got out the inlet I knew it was too windy and choppy to head to the dropoff.  We trolled for about 3 hours, and ended up with 8 blackfin.  Most of the action was between 275 and 350.  Tons of really small flyers, schools of several hundred, and some scattered weed.  Pretty good day, fun was had by all.

very nice,...some real troopers to tough out that kind of sloppy mess.

Send some of those BFT our way.

We are in a trolling desert.

That must have been fun for the kids.  Those little tuna can put on a pretty good show for the guy working the reel.

What is that on the seat in the 3rd photo next to the water bottle?
