Sets of 4 160g Slow Pitch Jigs $22

HurricaneBKHurricaneBK Posts: 200 Deckhand
Hey guys, as some of you who've read my fishing reports know, I love jigging for its simplicity. I came across this style of slow pitch jig and really fell in love with it as it offers a nice compromise between flat fall style jigs and vertical speed jigs. In the few months I've been testing them out they've caught lots of blackfins, amberjacks, kingfish, mutton snapper, vermillion snapper and have hooked a couple yellowfins (had the leader fail :banghead). They're a versatile do it all jig as they have a nice fluttering darting action on the way down but unlike a lot of other flat fall jigs you can still work them to the surface quickly. We went with a single hook with a short assist cord to avoid the hook tangling on the jig or the line like can happen when you try to retrieve flat falls too fast. We've had customers add a second hook to the bottom with success though.

$22 for sets of 4

All jigs have a glow stripe pattern. See pictures for colors and there's more info in the link. You can buy them through BoatEasy with PayPal, shipping is a flat rate of $7 for as many sets as you want to buy shipped via USPS. Here's the link for easy checkout using PayPal, send me a message on here if you have any questions.

A few more photos to help show the shape of these jigs. They're a very versatile design and we've had a lot of happy fishermen so far using them.

Currently we only have the 160g size. Might include a 220g size in the future. I tested one that was 280g and felt the heavier one didn't have the same fluttering action as the lighter sizes.

Don't know why the pictures are showing up as tiny thumbnails. Let's see if this pic of the AP I got with them shows up full size

Have had a lot of questions regarding preventing cutoffs. This picture shows how to set them up for slow pitch jigging with a short trace of wire. It won't affect their action much but will reduce cutoffs, the AP above was caught with the wire trace and have caught several kings successfully as well. In shallower depths like 80-120 kings are pretty consistent on jigs.

Do you sell them rigged the way you like to rig them?

I sell them rigged with the hook, split ring, and solid ring. As far as rigging goes with wire and then to the flouro or mono leader no I don't sell them rigged like that was just illustrating one way to rig to avoid kingfish cutoffs. Someone targeting muttons or blackfin might want to just use flouro exclusively.

Gotcha. I only asked because I’ve read some of your reports where you detailed how you rig them.
Can you purchase other than thru Boat Easy?
