2/29 Ft Myers Offshore - Grouper Action

Had a trip offshore this past Monday, with following seas we made it out to 115'. 5 people aboard, and caught there limit of grouper up to 17lbs. Made two stops for the grouper, did stop on a wreck to try and get the snapper biting but to no avail the tide switched and ran against the wind. Not to many big Aj's, many were cookie cutters just hitting the 31" mark. Kept one that measured in at 41". Pinfish was the bait to use, blue/green water was just at the 110' mark inside of that it was green and at 60' the milky green. Water temp offshore was just at 70*.

Nice haul. I didn't do too great inside the 100 foot mark. Not sure if its the cooler temps or all the freshwater but looks like the 100+ depths are where to be. By the way, I'm jealous of that boat. Love the big bait well.

Just spent the morning nearshore fishing in the brown muck. Fished for 3 hours, kept 10 sheepshead all 15"+. 20-30' of water over structure.
There is some schools of bait deeper down offshore, nothing around the bridges yet.
