8/6: May reef

Got to the dock around 7:30 and chummed up around 4 dozen pins and 4 to 5 dozen greenies. I mostly fish inshore in water 6 feet or less but wanted to do something different so we heading to the public numbers on May reef. Anchored up and for 20 minutes only caught catfish. Desided to move to another set of numbers and while heading there marked some nice looking bottom with alot of activity on it so we anchored and started fishing. Couldn't say how many fish we caught but it was to many to count. The fish caught were mangroves, gags, spanish mackerel and snook. Bait schools everywhere and tarpon rolling 15 feet for the boat. The fish weren't huge but kept the rods bent. Lost some nice fish to goliaths or shark too. It was good to do something different.
