First off I got to say Native Tackle came through with the fat hook up on bait, thanks. Now to the fishing. The bite was hard to come by at the first honey hole, let's just say honey was home just not hungry. So off to another spot to ckeck in on some of my ol'girlfriends and what do you know they were thick and ready to eat. The first pigfish took a dunk in less than a min, next small pin same story. So we put on a mullet head and it was off to the races. 3 slot reds in 15min first thing in the morning will help spark the ol wood. So with dinner on ice it was time to go play with the poons. So we went looking in a few place's and jackpot we found them. But this is where I got the case of the dumb---, I sent a bait into all the rollers and a min later fish on, so what do I do, I get the camera out and try to video it and fight it at the same time. Well that smart move cost me the fish. So I was done after that and my boy Bait wanted to go look for snook. We ended up with 11 snook 20" to 26" and about 20 8" to 16"ers that was fun and great to see. It was a good day with a great friend and sure wish I could of had a few of those hook-ups back.I am going to try to put up the vid, dont laugh to hard. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h396/mrmogan/IMG-20110723-00110.jpg. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h396/mrmogan/th_VID-20110723-00006.jpg (http://s1107.photobucket.com/albums/h396/mrmogan/?action=view&current=VID-20110723-00006.mp4)

@ GreenTikiFire there were no monster snook or slot fish caught just all good fun fish on light tackle. We like to call them fist of the future. I will say My boy Bait and I did have two great break offs if there is such a thing.

I'm the old Dude in the pic, if Snookone had not tried to hold the camera and land the poon at the sametime, he might have stood a chance. I should have videoed that stunt for laughs, any bets on Snookone trying that again. Yes I caught the 8" snook. All the snook were caught right up next the mangroves. Heard tons of them going off up in the mangroves. Never hit a lot in one spot, but we hit alot of spots. We call it picking and poking. Most of the snook were caught on shirmp. Caught the reds out in open water. Great day, and yes we do have days that we get our butts handed to us just like everybody else. Was off the water by about 1:00 pm. Eating my red tonight.

Duckman, we had just enough breeze Sat. morn. to get by, but let me tell you by the time we got back to St. Cloud, it was smoking, I sat in the garage and drank a cold one, Snookone pressure cleaned his boat and gave of the old dude a rest. The boys in the service use to called me the Big Dago, now they call me the Old Dago. Still love them though.
