Big Pine Island Snook On Fly

Caught this 29 incher on the Pine Island side of Matlacha Pass the other night right at high tide and an hour before sunset. The fish hit a white Crystal Schminnow (do they eat anything else?) tied on a 2/0 Owner hook. We're seeing a lot of snook like this in the pass right now, especially in the creeks where the bigger tower boats can't reach and they're not nearly as tight lipped as our tarpon are. Since it's been so breezy I'm spending a lot more time chasing these guys than our uncooperative poons.

Nothing like a nice snook on fly... a small #4 Crystal Schminnow is also really good on small tarpon in the 10lbs and under size range in my area...
