Decided not to get beat up on Saturday in the seas, so we just quickly got bait at the buoys and picked up one nice king before going back into East Bay for some inshore action. Plenty of Tarpon were rolling on small baits and Brannon hooked up on one before his Tarpon Jinx instincts took over:Grin. The Spanish Mackerel were thick too. Even got on some decent sized Black Tip sharks in middle. We also landed a few Sailcats. I had heard these were good tastin and they were right...Stayed soggy most of the day, but we made lemonade out of lemons for sure...

Great report. I wonder how fried sea gull would compare to fried snapper? It is tough to match the hatch when the Tarpon are feeding on huge balls of tiny anchovies....
