With the remaining hours of snapper season wasting away, I couldn't stay at work any longer. Put together a last minute trip and put the boat in the water at 3pm. As we headed out, I discovered the bottom finder wasn't working, but it was too late to turn back. Fished one spot about 20 miles from the pass with no bottom machine and managed to get 10 red snapper and 2 red grouper after about an hour of fishing. One snapper weighed 15lbs and another weighed 13lbs. Back to the landing by 7pm. The Lord definitely blessed our trip because we were fishing blind. Now right your congress reps and tell them to extend our snapper season!

PS - can anyone recommend a good marine electronics shop in PC for repair/install of Raymarine gear?
