me and my buddy went to st joe bay to do some fishing in my native ultimate kayak, and tore em up. not the best weather but it seemed to work out alright for us. we fished live pinfish on the bottom in the potholes in about 7 ft of water only moved spots twice and fished them on multiple days and our biggest trout was 28" ..launched off the beach one time trying to catch some kings but our bait we caught in the bay and had to run back over to the gulf died, it was about 5 or 6 ft swells and our hearts dropped going over every wave..but we made it out with a bucket full of dead pinfish and 4 live ones and caught 2 sharks and i had a nice run then got cut off. also caught some huge sail cats in indian pass while shark fishing

be careful guys, if the third person doesn't have a license then your in deep doo doo. I suggest you also get your own coolers and store the fish separately. I heard a guy got fined for three redfish just because he was the only one with a cooler.

Well I 'm sure they'd be crucified if ole Hooffearted was still around.
When I was younger I did the same thing but now I'm much more about the release on trout, reds, and especially snook. I also like to only keep the big sheepies, and most black drum which are better than reds to me.
Keep hearing about those darn lion fish that are invading. KILL EM ALL! They taste great too!

Well, I can't for the life of me figure out why somebody would want to let trout meat sit on the bone over night before cleaning, but that's up to you.

What I don't get are the numbers.

Pictured are 18 trout.

All but 5 were over 20". That mens ther are 15 there that were over 20".

That means in two days you'd need 7 people fishing one day, and 8 the next.

Just sayin...

EDIT: If I had to bet, the night time picture of the 14 trout ont he plywood was a seperate day of fising from teh 18 trout on the stringer. So.. chances are we're talking about 32 trout... all of which were over 20" but 5. So that's 27 trout in two days over 20".

Hopefully you had 14 people on day one and 13 on day two, or 27 on day one, etc.

Nice lookin' fish for sure!

Well once me and my buddy were fishin at a nearby lake from the bank. Looked around and there was the game warden bearin down on us. I threw down my rod and reel and took off, {I was much skinnier and spry back then}. I led that game warden on a merry chase. Ended up I stopped a mile or so from where it started. Game warden said "you ain't got a license have ya". "Oh yes I do sez me", and I handed him my license. "Why did you run then" he asked. Sez me "my buddy back there is the one without the license"!

yeah they were iced down good though cuz we got back late and we were tired and we cleaned em early that morning and ate em that afternoon..fried speckled trout and flounder and blue crab talk about a meal. but yes i apologize if i offended you guys for catching all them damn fish..i never keep fish unless i go offshore. this was just a one time thing because we were tearin them up. never kept a bass a day in my life. and panhandler : if your not the game warden then stop acting like one, we were just having a good time catching some fish in our week off from work

So you're basically acknolweding that you broke the law, and not only broke it, but did so in a flagrant manner.

THose are some nice fish and I say congrats.

No, I'm not the law. I'm just saying that posting 27 trout over your bigger than 20" two day bag limit is asking for trouble. I hope you don't find any as a result of this thread, but if it finds you then I'm not going to feel terribly sorry for you.

07-21-2011, 08:50 PM
NO im not admitting that your just putting words in my mouth now..and well they might not have even been that big it was just an estimation but i know for a fact three were 26,27 and 28 inches. the rest were guestimations..and the law cant measure fish in a picture and prove that i didnt catch them over a few days or if there were multiple people fishing..but thank you, i appreciate it

You are either a poacher, or a liar.

fsumichael
07-22-2011, 02:42 PM
well thanks buddy your so thoughtful..jackass.
are all fisherman liars or are all liars fisherman?
im not a poacher, a poacher is someone who takes something out of season or on forbidden land. you are all just jealous old men because your wives wont let you get out of the house to go fish or its just that your mad cuz you cant catch a mess of trout to save your lives. i was just trying to give a report on st joe bay not start a forum war..so how bout yall mind your own buisness and stay the hell outta mine. i didnt do anything illegal and you cant prove that i did...back when yall grew up the drinking age was 18 and there were no conservation laws

fsumichael
07-22-2011, 02:46 PM
how bout you go build a time machine back to last week and go prove i broke the law? and i for one hope your viagra comes in this week or you defiantly aint goin fishin

Its not that were jealous we just have respect for the law.Does anybody wonder why this county is going the way it is when he is the future very scary.

anglingarchitect

Poaching is the illegal taking of wild plants or animals contrary to local and international conservation and wildlife management laws. Violations of hunting laws and regulations are normally punishable by law and, collectively, such violations are known as poaching.

By definition you are a poacher sport.

Great Catch, We all know what you did, you are nothing special, I get in the honey holes ,catch my legal limit and move on, but anyway my neighbor works for FWC and fishes the Bay when not working it, I check his rule book and see if I could talk my way out of that catch . Did you notice one of your pictures has a boat Registration in the background ,HOW STUPID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and no I dont need Viagra for any reason, seems like you know more about than me ,wonder why???? Is this a new fad get a woodie and catch fish out of a Yak. I just hope you learn your lesson and dont have to deal with FWC

country*, get educated. and actually i ate it all and it was delicious actually. get off my back, i was just trying to post a report not have some old men ***** at me, and that boat is my grandfathers not mine. well i didn't poach so i don't care what your definition is..no actually its not a fad is a self efficient way to fish, gas is expensive if you haven't realized. i don't need a outboard to catch fish.

Any way I want to try some Yak fishing at crooked Island ,looking for one now ,my boat is to big to go shallow . Good luck on your trout problem ,do you Know that have a test out now that will detect trout in your blood for at least 90 days , so be carefull and try not to OD on those Daily Trout Limits

Catching all the fish does not mean you are allowed to keep all the fish. You can still brag about "tearin dem up" without showing all of them at once. I hope someone has reported you guys because it seems that through your behavior and choice of words you have flagrantly violated the law. If someone has noticed the tag numbers, then they have most likely wrote them down. Deleting the pictures were probably useless. They won't charge your grandfather, but they will most likely track you down and charge you and your buddy with major fines and possible jail/community service time. Last I heard, fines were $1000 a fish and they have the right to take away all your fishing tackle. I hope you have fun working more and fishing less.

fsumichael
07-23-2011, 03:23 PM
yes you retard, count the trout on the plywood. we had three people fishing, so get off my *****. and actually my buddy is a fwc officer and he already told me that i cant get in trouble because theres no way to prove anything so im glad yall are so worried about it..and all be damned if they take my tackle for nothing, and 1000 dollars a fish? bull****..and what can we get reported for? a picture with alot of trout which you have no way of knowing how many days it took to catch them.

fsumichael
07-23-2011, 03:25 PM
5 trout per person, 3 people= 15 trout. in that picture only 3 are over 20 so its perfectly legal

fsumichael
07-23-2011, 03:28 PM
and to rsharp..get a native ultimate sickest yaks out there. i have a 16 ft one, two people can stand up and fish in it and plenty of room for all your gear, fast and stable, and a trolling motor mounts right to the side without the purchase of a real mount. i plan on putting a 6 hp outboard on the back, defiantly could handle it

fsumichael
07-23-2011, 03:32 PM
sounds like we gotta lot of wanna be fwc officers on here, i have plenty of respect for fwc officers ive been busted for selling fish before and they were very nice about the whole thing..but i have a no respect for a bunch of *****s who wanna be fwc officers and the only way they make themselfves feel better about not catching **** is harrassing a 18 yr old about catching fish. and accuse him of breaking the law when yall obviously dont know the law

fsumichael
07-23-2011, 03:36 PM
ever occur maybe i lied about the size of all of them? do all those trout really look that big? fish stories people..i didnt mean to start all this horsespit

Panhandler80
07-24-2011, 07:43 PM
I'm not going to bother recounting them, so I'm going off recolection, but I remember counting 32 total. Let's put max size aside and believe the new line about 3 people (as opposed to 2) and 2 days (as opposed to on).

3 x 5 x 2 = Thrity troute.... so you're 2 over right there. That's before we even begin to consider daily and max size regs.

Nobody here is playing pretend FWC. Quite the contrary. Too this day I am often tempted to bend or even break the law, but I choose not to. There was, however, a time in my life (pre-viagra if you want to call it that) that I may or may not have harvested fish in a less than legal manner.

HOWEVER, my indescretions that may or may not have occured were always based in logic... things I considered back when I did not need viagra were along the lines of keeping a slot red out of season (a seasone which was abolished anyway)... boxing a 15 lb gag when a porpoise was eating every relased short even though we were at our limit... bringing youngsters on board and counting their limit even though we all knew not a one of them could pull the caliber of fish off the bottom that were in th box... ETC

You however, went and broke the law and then posted PICTURES of it online.

Amazing.

I know you're "only" 18, and I hope you don't get picked up by the law... but if you do, trouble had no other option but to find you!

If you're currently enrolled at FSU, I'd recommend you stay there for a good decade or two. Hopefully between now and then you'll aquire a shred of common sense! You desperately need it.

Or, you could drop out right now and post pictures of you grow house and dead hookers in the trunk. That would make about as much sense as or original post.
