Headed out to NSB for some night dock fishing Friday night. Rain blew through already, so we were good to go. First, let me say this, the lights on the docks in NSB are by far the best I've seen from Ormond south, Port Orange isn't too bad though.
Anyway, water was super clear and we were fishing the last hour of the incoming tide using live shrimp. Normally trout are everywhere around docks, but this night, not one trout, it was odd. But what we found were quite a few reds, my buddy put a nice slot in the cooler and we later found a dock with a very dim light that had about 5-6 very large fish on it, all reds we found out. I had a hook pull out a big one then my buddy boated this 29.5"er. Tide shifted soon after and all we found the rest of the night were blues, blues and more blues. We must've caught 25 bluefish that night. Great fun, hope the pic shows up.
