Port Canaveral Thermocline fishing.....
Great day on the water except for the colder water down deep. Found plenty of pogies and greenies. Then went to 8A-Nothing/Weather Buoy-nothing/21 bottom-nothing.......Then we went out 27 Fathom area to bottom fish and drift live bait-caught, vented and released about 15+/- "Endangered" Red Snappers, numerous seabass, and 1 nice -30lb Grouper. We had no strikes today trolling pogies. We also got to see a free jumping sailfish 50' behind our boat while drifting.

The surface temps were as high as 85 degrees, not sure how cold the bottom was but it had to of been warmer then closer inshore......Very little weeds, no flyers, not much activity on the surface.

Nice Grouper! Havn't you heard? The red snaps are endangered you couldn't possibly have caught any.
