I decided to head to Mosquito lagoon after work yesterday and pole around. From the launch ramp I headed south to whale's tail. Saw a lot of large black drum digging in about 1.5 ft of water but could not get one to bite. Ended up catching a few nice redfish though. Caught them on a DOA and some mud minnows that I scooped up in some shallow grass with a dip net. Here is one that had 20 spots...a beautiful specimen.
