Destin Mixed Bag 7/2

Got a late start and radioed the bait man about 9 as we were leaving the dock, he was out, we ended up paying an arm and a leg for frozen cigs and squid in destin. Caught what we could on the way out but didn't want to waste to much time. We fished a wreck and chicken coops off navarre. Most of what we caught was on cut squid and bonita bellys. We caught a couple of short scamp, bonita, and sharks that went back in. Sometime I wonder why I spend hours tryin to get good baits when I catch huge fish on a small hook and a peice of squid but that how it goes. Didn't see any cobia, maybe the water is clearing up and they're heading back west.

Good Job Big Rick, the Cobia are still here ( Destin ) we have caught three in the past five trips. Including one today.

That was the only trip I didn't catch one this last month, I've caught more in june than I did in april. Do you think the dirty water kept them our way? I've never seen this many on wrecks before.
