View Full Version : Rumor has it... cobia caught off State Park pier today.

Again, rumor, but I don't think this would really suprise anybody given this weather and warm water temps.
Supposedly it was a small fish around 25 lbs, but a keeper nonetheless.
Not sure about you guys, but I'm going to give it one day's effort this weekend.

I'm going to try for a turkey on one day and fish on the other. Inclined to turkey hunt Sat and fish Sunday, but I'm pretty sure you-know-who would rather fish on Saturday.

Mikey got that fish. About 2PM. He was on the shallow side of the trough.

The 2nd trough and sandbar had a lot of cobia boat traffic today. Didn't see any of them cast at anything. Looks like the guy at the state park pier got first shot at him. :grin

It was actually yesterday. He popped right up at the southeast corner of the T. Mikey put a jig on him and he ate right away. I think it was 27 Lbs.
