Post Rain Shower Kayak trip South Melbourne Beach 6-28-2011

Well it has been an exciting week around our house as our first baby girl decided to join us about three weeks ahead of schedule on Father's Day. She is healthy, mom is doing fabulous and I am grinning from ear to ear proud as any father could be. Here is a picture of the little one scoping for some fish.

So I decided to hit the water behind our house after the day full of rain and thought it would be a great time for top water action. Within a few minutes of my first cast I was hooked up with my first fish of the night.

The action continued for the rest of the evening with 8-10 trout slurping down the bait and several more that were smart enough to toss it out of thier way.

All in all a very productive evening and a nice night on the water. I can't wait to share my fishing trips with my new fishing partner and I hope she is excited for them as I am!
