Me and a buddy wanted to try our luck at gigging and we got out a there a little before dark. As we were waiting for the sun to set we got a nice 21" trout on a catch 2000.

Once we turned the lights on the visibility was not very good. We wound up sticking 5 total. The smallest one was 13" and the biggest was 19". We also passed on 3 borderline keepers to let live another day. We were done by 11 so it wasn't that late of a night. For as murky the water was and the little amount of time that we gigged it seemed to be pretty good. Regardless, we got our flounder dinner.

That's some good eating there!! I have never done the giggin thing but would love to try it some time. I haven't personally caught a Flounder (rod n' reel) since I was a kid. Good job.

Tight work! What kind of areas do you go gigging at?

Honestly, they seem to like the real soft mud so they can burry themselves. Throw a little oysters in there and its real prime terri.
