Fairly slow and very windy. Trout are in about four feet of water of dark grass. Reds were skittish and liked a fast retrieve with jerk baits.

Crooked island, could of limited all C&R for me. Wind was a pain. If you go, I would hit the falling tide.

My fishin hole was full of boat traffic last weekend, guess it's gonna be that way with Deer season closed.

How about telling me about the weather and how was the fishing. I live so far away I am hesitant about the drive without some good info on both. Thanks

Dude, with all due respect, if you live in La., why the hell do you wanna drive way over here. I mean you are certainly welcome to come but I've always heard that the fishin in Venice was lots better than PC Fl.
That being said, the weather is fairly mild, & I've found a few trout in the creeks.:thumbsup

It is about the same distance for me to drag my boat and I prefer to catch other fish than reds and trout. The people in my opinion are much friendlier there also. When I want to fish for reds or trout it is much better fishing here and when the weather is good also. It also costs about the same to stay there.
Thanks for the info.
