View Full Version : First Sailfish

Went out of PC today in search of tarpon and kingfish. Went down to the pier for some bait and looked around for some tarpon but didn't see anything. We then decided to troll around the 40 ft mark zig zagging through bait pods and this beast came and hit. It was a real surprise but I will take it as my first Sail. 98 inches tip to tip think it was between 85-90 pounds..

Congrats on your 1st sail!
With that said, PLEASE don't pull them from the water! They are likely to sustain injury from being removed from the water.
I KNOW you were pumped and excited, but think of the sail's wellbeing.
Take pics of them in the water and keep them healthy to be caught another day.
Geat catch and don't let my post be a downer for you.
Simply some constructive feedback.
