Hodgie and I went out again this afternoon to see if we could put a hurting on some more fish. This time I left the cast nets at home and we only concentrated on fishing. We hit a couple spots back in the canals with no luck. We tried the Caost Guard Station with no luck. We then went to the end of the jetty and drifted the incoming tide. That was the ticket. We caught and released around 5 or 6 small flounder. Hodgie caught and released a 29" Redfish and I followed suit with its twin, another 29" Redfish. We were having a blast, but we really wanted to put a few fish in the box to take home and so far all we had was one flounder about 14" that was gut hooked or we would have released him also. We tried one more spot on the way and all I found was a rat red. With the storms fast approaching, we headed for home.

I uploaded all of the pics the same way. I have no idea why they turned out like this.

You remind me of a guy that I have seen throwing a cast net. Nice reds.

I can usually be seen anywhere from Dunlawton to Highbridge during the summer shrimp run throwing my cast nets, usually on other people's boats since I don't have my own yet. I hope to rectify that problem next week. I'm looking at a 17' VIP Bay/Stealth.
