This week has been a weird week weather-wise. One day we are in the mid 90s with a west wind and the next day it was in the 80s with a blustering east wind. The trout, snook, and reds didnt really seem to care, though. They came out to feed. Slot redfish were fanning their tails as they were feeding out on the grass beds. The best production this week was out on the flats, not in the mangroves like you might think. The water temp stayed a little cooler than expected and that kept the fish out on the flats.
Live shrimp reigned supreme as the bait for the week. While artificials produced a decent number of fish, they didnt have the same appeal as live shrimp did. Alot of guys have been throwing finger mullet and pinfish, but they have been too plentiful, recently, to attract too much attention
