lets see a pic of a gag you caught THIS year during the closed season and hope to harvest the fish when the season opens.

The only numbers I have had any luck on keeper sized Gag out of PC are out on the live bottom. Most of my numbers are in the 15-20 mile range. I know there is an area closer in out of Phillips Inlet, but I have never fished it.

I am open for ideas!!

Actually the area out of Phillips Inlet we catch way more Red Grouper there and just a few Gags. I normally don't wander past Sea Grove area due to distance from Destin Pass.

Yeah, thats a good haul from Destin.....I would think Grayton/Sea Grove would be about half way between PC and Destin Passes. How far out of Destin are you having to go to get into some keeper Gag?

I guess I am going to have to trailer that way, and let you show me how its done!

We caught some awesome Gags this Snapper season about 12 to 14 miles from Destin. Sea Grove is 20 miles from the ?pass, how far for you from PC

I am further then, because the family house at Sea Grove is about 35 miles from the ramp, which is across from the pass in PC.

I need to learn my way around Destin waters and give it a shot on that side.

That's some nice gags but when the season opens we expect bigger fish then that from you. just sayin...:wink

We went today and managed one 24" gag and one 14" black sea bass. Had high hopes but it just didnt produce. The boats running good so I'll try it again.
