FIrst Trip of the Year

Finally came down and got the boat in the water for the opening of snapper season. Brought the boys from the Firehouse and hit the water early on the first. Water was a little chopy early on but made our way out later in the morning.Didnt have any trouble once we got out in deeper water. Mr Toothy showed up and took the best fish of the day.

Second day was a blast! Caught some good fish and had to leave when the box was full. Came in early and cleaned em up.

Last day proved to be a little challenging.

The current was opposite the wind and every drop was a challenge. Should have anchored but hind site is 20/20. Still managed a few fish for the day and had a great time on the water with good friends.Till next time!

Hutch, I'm the same way. I would rather battle a cross current and wind than anchor. I hate anchoring. Good mess of fish none the less. :R
